The Military aircraft factory Letov successfully launched in the mid-20s a series of fighters Letov S-20 for the Czecosovak Air Force, which were also exported abroad. All the knowledge and experience of flying the prototype S-20J with the Jupiter engine was used by the factory when designing a new fighter aircraft called the S-31. The Flight Factory offered its new fighter aircraft to the military administration on April 19, 1928. It responded and the first four S-31s were ordered on September 3, 1928 but the military ultimately favoured the Avia fighte
21 Ba-33 and Letov S-31 were produced in all versions. The book describes in detail the development, production and service of these fighters in the 1930s and the history of each machine produced.
